Credit Risk Controller – Star Pubs
Location: Edinburgh City Centre, with a mix of office and home working
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 base depending on experience, plus full benefits
Contract: Multiple roles with a mixture of permanent and 9-month fixed-term contract opportunities

About the role
Credit Control is more than simply collecting payments. Building strong relationships with customers and colleagues to keep pubs open and trading is essential to the success of Star Pubs.
Credit Risk Controllers are each aligned to a regional area of the UK and build strong ongoing relationships with leased pub operators. You will collect payment for drinks orders and rent, agree and monitor repayment plans for debt, and work closely with field-based Business Development Managers and Regional Operations Directors. You will ensure the right commercial decisions are taken to keep pubs trading while minimising credit risk and complying with Credit Policy and the Pubs Code.
Who we’re looking for
- Comfortable working with numbers and bank reconciliations
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Experience with MI reporting and Power BI would be beneficial but is not essential
You will need to hold confident and robust conversations with customers, make decisions that benefit both HEINEKEN and its outlets, and work at pace.
