Cost Engineer - Data & Process Engineering

Are you ready to help shape the future of Cost Engineering at Mercedes-Benz? As part of the Data & Process Engineering team, you will contribute to next-generation cost calculation software, advanced digital processes, and innovative AI- and data-driven solutions.

How You Will Contribute

• Coordinate material cost increase assessments with Purchasing, Logistics, and key business partners.
• Maintain and improve critical Cost Engineering processes and IT systems, including user training and guidance.
• Transform cost-relevant input factors into a foundation for cost calculations, business case evaluations, and management decisions.
• Create and enhance artificial intelligence applications for cost analysis and calculation.
• Lead cross-center cost analyses supporting strategic and operational decisions.
• Coordinate project assignments across vehicle platforms and target groups, including Interior, Exterior, and Chassis, and coordinate Top Parts processed in Romania.
• Coordinate Sourcing Planning Meetings for components processed in Romania.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
• Experience in Cost Engineering is advantageous.
• Experience with digitalization initiatives and AI use cases, combined with a hands-on mindset.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Power BI, and data analytics.
• Curiosity for new technologies and enthusiasm for innovation.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Self-driven, structured, and results-oriented working style.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and confidence to challenge the status quo.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
