Job Overview

The Cloud Data Engineer provides data engineering and analysis support for contract management and tax applications. The role supports Contract Management, Tax, and Accounting applications and requires a proactive mindset, strong technical background, and solid data and business analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Understand contract management and tax system data layouts and build data solutions for business requirements.
  • Write and execute scripts to extract data from internal databases for validation, analysis, and system integrations.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to design and develop dashboards and reports.
  • Build APIs to support integrations.
  • Provide analysis and insights on business strategies.
  • Support data migration activities and build AI and automation capabilities.
  • Build solutions using data from multiple clouds, with working knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Support application upgrades by building data infrastructure and database structures as needed.
  • Provide production support, perform root-cause analysis, and eliminate recurring problems.
  • Maintain productive relationships with business partners, colleagues, and management.
  • Support Internal Control System and Sarbanes-Oxley processes and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
  • Minimum of 3 years of overall work experience; preferred information technology experience is 1–3 years.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Technology or Computer/Information Science.
  • Experience with Java, PostgreSQL, and Python is highly recommended.
  • Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure, is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, testing, programming, database, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
