The Client Operations Officer of the Settlements team in Custody is responsible for processing and reporting accurate and timely settlement of securities transactions. This role involves managing daily operations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Client Operations Officer will perform trade repairs, investigate settlement issues, and maintain high standards of service delivery to clients. This position requires good knowledge of Custody products across a range of settlement processes, attention to detail, and strict adherence to operating procedures.
Working hours: 9am to 6pm MYT

What will you do?
- Extract reports and investigate trade settlement issues for solutions.
- Monitor system queues for specific trade statuses.
- Perform trade repairs in the core system to allow accurate and timely settlement according to market deadlines.
- Follow up on all trade issues until complete resolution.
- Resolve queries in a timely manner and follow them up diligently where required.
- Escalate operational issues or abnormalities according to the local escalation protocol.
- Process all instructions according to operating procedures.
- Guide other team members as part of their onboarding journey.

Training / Specialization: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science or similar.
Must-have
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- PC literacy in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Good knowledge of investment instruments, including equity, bonds, and repos.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

- Prior banking experience in operations or back office.
- Literacy in other Microsoft Office applications.
