The Westin Tempe is looking for an On-Call Banquet Houseperson to join its banquet team. The position services food and beverages for guests around the rooftop pool and cabanas in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner.
A Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the setup, breakdown, and servicing of all meeting rooms and spaces.
Hours and Shifts
AM and PM availability, including weekends and holidays.

- Ability to communicate in English

- Knowledge of meeting-room equipment and setup styles, including round and schoolroom tables
- Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 100 pounds through a crowded room
- Ability to perform considerable physical activity continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 500 pounds
Performance Standards
Associates are expected to provide courteous and respectful guest and associate interactions, maintain hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance, adapt to changes, learn new skills, solve routine problems, and request help when needed.
Associates must follow hotel safety and security policies, including procedures for key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and reporting hazards and safety concerns.
