Job description

Within the Global Markets Division, the Debt Capital Markets Origination team addresses financing needs in the bond markets for major French corporates and financial institutions. You will join the DCM team covering banking and insurance issuers, mainly in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland.

The team helps issuers with financing needs issue bonds on the primary market to optimise their funding costs. This is both a commercial and technical role.

During this internship, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing client presentations and pitches, requiring continuous contact with the markets and their participants, including traders, sales, syndicators and research teams.
  • Analysing developments in the primary and secondary bond markets.
  • Monitoring and writing market updates.
  • Contributing to the preparation of presentations and proposals.
  • Participating in transaction execution.
  • Coordinating with other internal teams, including Syndication, Rating Advisory and Liability Management.
  • Preparing client pitches.
  • Delivering specific projects for clients.

Candidate profile

You are studying at a university or business or engineering school, specialising in market or corporate finance. A first experience in market or corporate finance is an advantage.

Education: Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Experience: 0–2 years

Hard skills: Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; fluent French and English.

Soft skills: Curiosity, rigour, analytical and summarising ability, and strong interpersonal and writing skills.
