We are looking for an Apparel Production Artist I to join a fast-paced design team in Shanghai, China. The role supports the design team with day-to-day design tasks and facilitates cross-functional communication throughout the design process.
Who you'll work with
This individual contributor role reports to the Senior Manager, Apparel Design, Local Creation GC. You will collaborate with GC Apparel and Footwear Design teammates, GC Product Management and Development teams, Global Design counterparts, and Nike Creative stakeholders.
What you bring
- BA, BFA, MA, or MFA in Apparel Design or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- 1–2 years of professional apparel design experience in the apparel or sports industry.
- Knowledge of apparel materials, functionality, construction, fit, tech packs, and schematic development.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and monitor timelines.
- Ability to participate actively and effectively in the creative process and cross-functional communication.
- Experience with drawing and sketching using 2D and 3D apparel design programs.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, 3D and AI rendering software, Miro, Smartsheet, email, and Microsoft Outlook.
