Analyste M&A Stage - Energy Transition M/F

You are looking for an internship in M&A and are interested in energy transition topics? This opportunity is within the Global Investment Banking department of Crédit Agricole CIB, where the Mergers & Acquisitions activity covers multiple sectors and geographies.

You will join the four-person Energy Transition team, which covers the entire value chain of the sector. You will be fully involved in the origination and execution of M&A advisory assignments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and company or asset valuations.
• Perform sector analysis, including trends and competition.
• Carry out strategic reviews, research potential targets and identify potential acquirers.
• Draft pitches and support documents.
• Assist with the execution of buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Identify transaction opportunities and potential targets.
• Conduct sector studies and prepare pitches.

Two positions are available for January 2027.

Profile

• Postgraduate degree, MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent.
• University or engineering school education.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of corporate finance.
• Strong interest in the energy sector.
• Excellent command of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Rigour, organisation, intellectual curiosity, responsiveness, adaptability, strong analytical skills and team spirit.
