Job description

You are looking for an internship in finance and have an interest in leveraged finance? Then apply.

The French Leverage Finance team originates, structures and executes structured and leveraged financing transactions, including loans and high-yield bonds, for major corporate clients and private equity funds. The team is one of the European market leaders, particularly in LBO financing.

Working under the supervision of the team’s professionals and in collaboration with other bank departments, you will assist relationship managers in originating, structuring and arranging bank or bond leveraged finance transactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing pitches for investment funds and corporate clients
  • Conducting financial and strategic analyses of target companies and their markets
  • Critically reviewing due diligence
  • Analysing business plans and preparing sensitivity cases
  • Performing financial modelling in Excel
  • Writing credit applications
  • Preparing syndication documents, including presentations and information memoranda
  • Participating in portfolio monitoring, including annual file reviews and reporting follow-up

Two positions are available.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate) or equivalent
  • University, business school or engineering school education
  • Specialisation in corporate finance
  • 0–2 years of experience
  • Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Fluent French and English
  • Analytical and synthesis skills
  • Adaptability, organisation, teamwork, communication and writing skills, dynamism and curiosity
