Job description
You will join the Global Coverage & Investment Banking (CIB) department, specifically the Sustainable Banking team, which brings together professionals with advanced expertise in social and environmental finance. The team supports all bank businesses and coverage teams in originating and executing sustainable finance transactions and defining CACIB’s Climate and Sustainability strategy.
Reporting to the Sustainable Banking Director, the Sustainable Investment Banking team originates and executes ESG advisory mandates for major Crédit Agricole Group clients across financial institutions, SSA and corporate sectors and across all regions.
As an Analyst/Associate, you will work on non-financial advisory activities, particularly ESG rating advisory assignments, develop commercial proposals and lead the execution of advisory engagements.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare discussion materials and commercial proposals for prospects and clients relating to non-financial advisory activities, including ESG rating advisory and ESG consulting.
- Participate in the execution of non-financial advisory mandates.
- Develop new commercial approaches and non-financial advisory offerings for the bank.
- Develop tools to monitor the ESG ratings and data market.
- Monitor changes in ESG rating methodologies.
- Monitor investors’ use of ESG ratings.
- Monitor developments in sustainable finance, including European regulation, scientific reports on climate or biodiversity, and ESG controversies.
- Manage and monitor relationships with ESG market stakeholders, including ESG rating agencies and non-financial data providers.
Profile
Postgraduate degree (Master 2, engineering school or university) in finance, financial engineering, sustainable development or a related field. Between 0 and 6 years of experience in finance, consulting or ESG, with a minimum experience level of 0–2 years.
Required skills include analysis of non-financial data, knowledge of ESG issues, excellent command of Microsoft Office, analytical and summarizing skills, rigor, organization, ability to work under pressure on varied subjects, and collaboration skills. Knowledge of sustainable finance products and strong Excel VBA skills are a plus. English is required.
