Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cato Networks ZTNA Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure remote access solutions using the Cato SASE Cloud Platform. The role focuses on enabling Zero Trust Network Access, replacing traditional VPN architectures, and ensuring secure, optimized connectivity for users and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Cato ZTNA solutions for secure remote and branch access.
- Replace legacy VPN solutions with Zero Trust architecture.
- Configure identity-based access policies for users, devices, and applications.
- Implement client-based and clientless ZTNA access.
- Manage the Cato Management Application.
- Configure and maintain SD-WAN policies, security policies including FWaaS, IPS, CASB and SWG, traffic steering, and network segmentation.
- Monitor network performance across global points of presence.
- Integrate with identity providers such as Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, and ADFS.
- Implement multi-factor authentication and enforce least-privilege access policies.
- Diagnose user access failures, tunnel connectivity issues, and application access issues through ZTNA.
- Perform packet analysis and traffic inspection.
- Provide L2/L3 support for production issues.
- Configure and manage IPsec tunnels, Cato Socket deployments, and remote user clients for Windows, macOS, and mobile.
- Optimize application performance using WAN optimization.
- Use Cato dashboards for traffic analysis, security events, and user activity monitoring.
- Generate regular reports for compliance and management.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration documents.
- Support audits and compliance requirements.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with the Cato Networks SASE platform, Zero Trust Network Access concepts, and SD-WAN technologies. Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF is required, along with experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco, VPN technologies including IPsec and SSL VPN, and cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Security Skills
Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, Identity and Access Management, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, and DLP concepts.
