Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring Specialists and Team Members to support production of luxury SUVs and electric vehicles at its Tuscaloosa County and Bibb County campuses.

Purpose of the Position: Entry-level Modern Manufacturing Technicians learn to safely work in a fast-paced production environment while developing communication, time management and organizational skills. Apprentices safely operate necessary tools in their work areas and contribute to overall business goals in preparation for a more skilled Technician role.

Apprentices who complete all 36 competencies can enter the workforce as properly trained, skilled workers.

Essential Functions: Under general supervision, part-time apprenticeships comply with Alabama Office of Apprenticeship rules and regulations. The apprenticeship consists of 36 competencies, supplemented by 35 total credit hours and 585 contact hours of related instruction.

Qualifications

Education: Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled and at least a sophomore in high school in a Career Tech Program in Modern Manufacturing, Auto Tech, Welding or Logistics.
