Purpose: Responsible for processing credit requests and annual reviews in Diversified Industries, with an emphasis on Automotive. Position based in Chicago.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare first-level credit applications and analyses, including sector trends, counterparty market position, peer comparisons, financial statements and projections.
- Review legal protections, including credit and trading agreements, guarantees and financial covenants.
- Prepare and review internal ratings.
- Submit files to the NY Credit Committee and process Crew and Dafne.
- Prepare second-level RPC opinions, including independent analysis of borrowers, transaction structures, term sheets and financial models.
- Run the Crew credit process and present RPC opinions to RPC management and the NY Credit Committee.
- Interact with Front Office teams to gather information, discuss credit risks and mitigants, and obtain profitability and commercial strategy information.
- Coordinate with RPC Paris on information requests, rating validations, credit issues and trends.
- Monitor covered sectors and portfolios and communicate updates to senior management in Chicago and Paris.
- Participate in Early Warning and SAR meetings, portfolio reviews, US Risk Committee documentation, audits, loan reviews and special projects.
- Verify and correct data in risk systems, including Crew, Eurecca, RICOS and Dafne.
- Analyze counterparties in different sectors as workload requires.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of credit experience at a bank or credit rating agency.
- Automotive-sector experience is a strong plus.
- Strong credit analysis, synthesis, workload management, independent problem-solving, presentation and communication skills.
- Credit analysis, financial modelling, legal documentation and Microsoft Office knowledge.
- French language knowledge is a plus.
