The Valet-Parking Attendant services guests around the hotel and helps deliver an exceptional experience. This position is a key member of the front drive and arrival team, providing attentive, courteous and efficient hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Safely park and retrieve guest and visitor vehicles.
- Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out.
- Check and assist with luggage as needed.
- Communicate with guests and respond to questions about hotel services, local events and activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers and support team duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to communicate, read and comprehend written materials, and write in English; additional languages are valuable.
- Outgoing, self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Ability to drive vans, limousines and automobiles.
- Excellent driving record verified by a motor vehicle report.
- Ability to handle luggage and packages up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions, including high heat.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit, and perform bending, stooping and kneeling.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report for three years, with annual renewals.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle functions; manual transmission experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Knowledge of state driving laws.
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and ability to learn in a changing work environment.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.
- Multitasking skills and telephone etiquette.

Associates are expected to provide courteous and respectful guest service, maintain professional work habits and appearance, adapt to changes, follow safety and security procedures, report hazards and ask for assistance when needed.
