About the role
As a Turnaround Coordinator, you will supervise and coordinate a safe and on-time turnaround for customer airlines in accordance with IATA IGOM Chapter 6 requirements and airline procedures.
- Ensure aircraft are loaded and offloaded safely according to airline, QAS, and regulatory requirements.
- Verify loading against the load plan and communicate deviations to the Load Controller.
- Oversee ground activities, report damage and incidents, and coordinate participating entities during aircraft turnaround.
- Ensure aircraft ground movement communication and headset operations follow customer airline procedures and safety guidelines.
- Check special loads, ULDs, aircraft holds, dead loads, baggage, and cargo for safety, damage, and compliance.
- Cross-check ULD movement slips, cargo handover forms, unit summary reports, and loading instructions.
- Update TOBT and TSAT, coordinate with the Pilot in Command, record turnaround timings, and allocate delay codes.
- Perform safety and security spot checks and coordinate QAS resources during airline or airport emergencies.
About you
- High School, vocational, diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of job-related experience, preferably as a coordinator, airline representative, load controller, or person responsible for loading.
- Ability to obtain aircraft/ramp handling, turnaround coordination, and IATA Dangerous Goods Training Category 10 certifications.
- Command of English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, interpret SITA messages, delegate work, and lead and develop teams.
- Preferred experience includes load control, LIRF, headset operations, team leadership, and a Qatari driving licence.
