Objective of the job
The RDC Technical Committee is at the forefront of driving technical strategy, innovation, and engineering excellence across the organization. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Technical Committee Coordinator who will also act as an IP Ambassador, serving as a key bridge between the IP team and engineering and business units.
Technical Committee Operation & Governance
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate Technical Committee meetings, taskforces, and workshops.
- Prepare agendas, materials, and invitations; record minutes and track action items to closure.
- Maintain TC documentation, records, and decision logs.
- Support technical topic prioritization and feasibility review before E2/E22 reporting.
Technical Activities & Knowledge Enablement
- Assist in organizing technical workshops, innovation forums, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support engineers’ knowledge platforms and technical repositories.
- Facilitate internal and external technical communication on advanced technology topics.
Taskforce & Cross-functional Coordination
- Coordinate taskforces on technical or innovation topics.
- Ensure timely organization, documentation, and follow-up of taskforce activities.
- Act as a point of contact for TC-related coordination across departments.
IP Ambassador Responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between the IP team and business units to exchange IP-related information.
- Collect IP requests, feedback, questions, and suggestions and ensure timely follow-up.
- Disseminate basic IP knowledge, policies, and tools such as Inventor Portal and Athena.
- Support IP training, invention awarding ceremonies, patent-mining workshops, invention reviews, patent searches, and prior-art discussions.
- Facilitate high-quality invention disclosures and support expert assessments with IP and technical experts.
Administrative, Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Serve as a central contact point for TC and IP-related inquiries.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and executive materials.
- Support structured communication between IP, engineering, and management stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements in TC operations, IP collaboration, and knowledge management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical coordination, project administration, IP support, or related roles.
- Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Familiarity with IP concepts, patent processes, or invention management is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Confluence, Jira, Inventor Portal, or similar tools is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
- Interest in technology, innovation, and intellectual property, with strong learning capability.
