Team Lead, adidas Heartland Retail Store (#2006)

Purpose

Act in a leadership capacity to support the sales, profitability, and operational goals for the store by guiding hourly associates in day-to-day procedures and driving store objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide daily store operations and hourly associate activities to deliver excellent customer service and maximize sales.
• Provide positive reinforcement and training to develop staff and achieve optimal results.
• Conduct individual and small-group training on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with applicant and new-hire documentation.
• Display merchandise in windows, showcases, and on the sales floor.
• Assist with staffing, labor-cost control, point-of-sale operations, cash transactions, product ticketing, stockroom flow, and sales-floor replenishment.
• Communicate product levels, assortments, project progress, shipments, sales setups, and markdowns to management.
• Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, cashiering, stock-location, and store-upkeep duties while leading by example.
• Resolve customer complaints and returned-merchandise issues while ensuring the highest level of adidas service.
• Use and teach selling techniques, including add-on sales and technical product information, to reach sales goals.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and resolve problems in standardized situations.
• Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and a point-of-sale system.
• Good judgment, decision-making, mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle merchandise, and frequently lift or move up to 12 kg; occasional lifting or moving up to 34 kg is required.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
