Purpose
Act in a leadership capacity to support the sales, profitability, and operational goals for the store by guiding hourly associates in day-to-day procedures to drive store objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide daily store operations and hourly associate activities to deliver excellent customer service and maximize sales.
- Provide positive reinforcement and training to develop staff and achieve performance goals.
- Conduct individual and small-group presentations on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and policies.
- Assist with applicant and new-hire documentation.
- Support merchandise displays, visual presentation, staffing, labor-cost control, and point-of-sale operations.
- Maintain policy and procedure integrity and complete sales transactions involving cash, credit, and checks.
- Support product flow, stockroom operations, sales-floor replenishment, ticketing, shipment processing, floor changes, and markdown setups.
- Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, cashiering, stock-location, and store-upkeep duties while leading by example.
- Resolve customer complaints and returned-merchandise issues while ensuring the highest level of adidas service.
- Use and teach selling techniques, including add-on sales and product-technology explanations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
- Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and a point-of-sale system.
- Good judgment, decision-making, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak periods.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 12 kg and occasionally lift or move up to 34 kg.
Qualifications
Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED. Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
