Job Description
The job holder works as a System Safety Engineer (f/m/d) and will:
- Conduct Functional Hazard Assessments and System Safety Assessments for military aircraft and systems through certification.
- Conduct risk analyses supporting aircraft development, including Permit to Fly and Type Certificate activities.
- Conduct common-cause analyses, including Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis.
- Manage and generate safety requirements, safety evidence, procedures and limitations, while interfacing with other technical domains.
- Influence aircraft and systems architecture development according to required safety and integrity levels.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, project management, design teams, airworthiness authorities, industrial partners, customers and suppliers.
- Review, approve and apply supplier data regarding safety and reliability.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science or a similar discipline.
- Knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems is mandatory.
- System Safety Assessment experience is advantageous.
- At least two years of Systems Engineering experience interfacing with Safety Assessment, Airworthiness or Certification.
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+ or Reliability Workbench.
- Fluent English; German is desirable.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous and safety-oriented approach.
