What you’ll do
- Lead and coordinate activities required to support the operational ramp-up of the distribution facility, ensuring readiness for launch and stabilisation of operations.
- Work closely with operational leadership teams to deliver a seamless transition from project phase to business-as-usual operations, including the implementation of operational processes, procedures and controls required for successful site start-up.
- Coordinate and track key operational readiness activities, ensuring milestones are achieved and risks are identified, managed and mitigated.
- Act as a key liaison between the project team, operational teams, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the transition period.
- Support the existing project team across planning, coordination, reporting, issue resolution, stakeholder management and project governance.
- Monitor project and operational readiness plans, managing risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
- Produce regular progress reports and provide analytical support covering milestones, operational readiness, risks, issues, transition activities and go-live preparedness.
- Facilitate communication and engagement with operational teams and key stakeholders, supporting post-launch stabilisation and adoption of new processes.
- Ensure activities are conducted in line with health and safety requirements and local regulatory standards.
What you’ll bring
- Proven project management experience delivering complex operational change, site start-ups, distribution centre launches or operational transition programmes.
- Significant experience within supply chain, logistics, distribution or operational project environments.
- Strong understanding of operational readiness, mobilisation, go-live activities and transitioning projects into business-as-usual operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational, planning, prioritisation and risk management capabilities.
- A pragmatic, hands-on and delivery-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting and coordination skills.
- A project management qualification or equivalent experience, with flexibility to travel as required.
- Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential.
