Purpose and overall relevance for the organization
Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets by ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of the global visual merchandising direction in the assigned store.
Key responsibilities
- Communication: Cascade information from the Regional VM Manager to the Store Manager and store staff through training and meetings. Participate in team meetings and huddles, analyze retail KPIs, and provide feedback on store needs.
- Merchandising display: Ensure compliance with global standards and guidelines. Maintain windows, mannequins, lighting, cleanliness, steaming, price communication, shop-in-shops, in-store communication tools, props, retail standards, and space management plans.
- Conduct daily audits using the adidas VM compliance checklist, submit monthly compliance reports with photographs, and analyze space management results weekly with the Store Manager.
- Support campaign changes during night shifts and lead store staff by example by organizing their work and tasks.
- In-store VM training: Train co-workers on visual merchandising standards, folding techniques, hanger types, size order, steaming, merchandise presentation, size cubes, size stickers, store configuration, and consumer journey enhancement.
- VM reporting: Monitor competitor activity and fashion trends, communicate relevant information to the Market VM Manager, and identify fixture and in-store communication needs.
- Equipment control: Return and store unused fixtures, mannequins, props, and graphic frames correctly. Manage equipment carefully and maintain a designated visual merchandising area in the back of house.
- Customer service and operational tasks: Execute brand customer service standards, act as a Brand Ambassador, use seasonal brand and product knowledge, minimize loss, perform store operations safely, collaborate with colleagues, complete training, and pursue coaching and learning opportunities.

Minimum qualifications
- Matric certification
- 2–3 years of visual merchandising experience in a retail environment
