Within GBS, the Order to Cash (O2C) process supports business growth through standardization, automation, and customer focus. As a Senior Credit Specialist, you will manage receivables, partner with sales teams and customers, supervise diverse customer portfolios, mitigate financial risks, and support cash flow across Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a high-impact accounts receivable portfolio, maximizing cash and mitigating credit risk by keeping more than 90-day past-due balances below target.
- Build proactive customer relationships, resolve issues, and drive timely collections.
- Assess customer credit risk and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Manage the daily SAP credit-hold queue and enable policy-compliant release of sales orders and delivery notes.
- Provide Sales and Finance with insights on customer accounts receivable.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for O2C process issues and escalations.
- Manage cross-functional and external stakeholder relationships.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Credit & Collections projects.
- Act as backup to the Team Lead, coordinating team organization and task assignment.
- Calculate provisions for uncollectable balances in line with policy and controls.
- Lead O2C reporting, including accounts receivable reports and monthly collections forecasts.
- Support technology implementation projects.
- Ensure control-supporting data and documentation are complete, accurate, reliable, and compliant.
- Mentor junior colleagues.
- Lead internal and external audit engagements.
Key Relationships
Cash Application, Customer Service, Record to Report, Market Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, distribution centers, transportation, and technology teams.
Qualifications
- University degree.
- More than 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or business.
- Strong finance acumen and a broad theoretical understanding of the job function.
- Solid SAP experience and experience in a shared service environment or similar.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish.
- Strong attention to detail, customer orientation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
