Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
Ensuring correct and daily execution of key responsibilities in the GBS Center according to the requirements of GBS policies, procedures and guidelines, and according to the Group Accounting Manual for the specific area of responsibility: Accounts Receivable, Retail, and eCommerce.
Self-directed worker for a specific service area who supports organizational effectiveness through the identification and communication of process improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounting tasks in AR Wholesale, Retail, and eCommerce for larger markets, handling specific cases for each market.
- Check and review tasks handled by junior members, including cash application and master data changes.
- Perform sales versus collection reconciliation for key customers, landlords, and online stores.
- Prepare and analyze reports, including AR deduction reports, eCommerce reconciliation reports, and Retail aging and collection analysis reports.
- Perform and review month-end closing tasks.
- Handle ad hoc requests and coordinate with others.
- Perform, coordinate, and review audit tasks, including reviewing quality results within the team.
- Create and maintain desktop procedures, checking for inconsistencies and improvement opportunities as an SME.
- Handle internal and external customer queries on complex cases.
- Prepare training material and provide training on specific cases within the area of responsibility as an SME.
- Handle group email and ticket allocation.
- Identify problems and bring them to the attention of the Supervisor.
- Deliver training to junior and new members, such as sales versus collection reconciliation training.
- Support the team lead with project delivery, including efficiency improvements and retail system upgrades.
- Raise and implement smart work ideas.
