CS GROUP, together with HE Space and Sopra Steria, provides digital end-to-end systems and engineering services for space and defence organisations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct spacecraft operations across all mission phases, including commissioning, routine operations, special operations and mission end.
- Develop, validate, maintain and optimise flight procedures and operational documentation.
- Support the development, implementation, validation and evolution of mission control systems, including automation, mission planning, flight dynamics and spacecraft control applications.
- Perform system verification and validation activities for spacecraft and ground-segment systems.
- Support the configuration, commissioning and operation of mission control systems and satellite simulators.
- Monitor spacecraft health through telemetry analysis, trend analysis and anomaly detection.
- Support the investigation, analysis and resolution of spacecraft anomalies, including on-call anomaly management.
- Support mission planning and continuous improvement and automation of operational processes.
- Prepare technical reports, mission status updates, KPIs and operational documentation for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Develop and deliver training for spacecraft operations and ground systems.
Qualifications
- Degree in aerospace engineering, space systems, communications engineering, computer science, physics or a comparable technical field.
- Experience in spacecraft operations, mission operations or ground-segment engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mission control systems and spacecraft operations concepts.
- Experience developing and validating flight procedures and preparing operational documentation.
- Knowledge of satellite telemetry and telecommand systems.
- Experience with mission planning, flight dynamics or satellite simulators is advantageous.
- Knowledge of system verification, validation and test methods.
- Experience automating operational processes and scripting is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, fault-analysis and problem-solving skills in an operational environment.
- Very good written and spoken English.
