Sourcing Associate (24-month Trainee Program)

Through the Sourcing Associate Program, adidas offers a unique platform to start your career with coaching from experienced mentors and managers. You will rotate through different teams over 24 months and receive training and on-the-job development from internal experts.

A senior-level mentor will provide real-time feedback throughout the program and help define long-term career paths. Upon graduation, you are expected to move into a managerial role.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and actively participate in key sourcing operations and functions, including product creation, costing, materials, product testing, tactical and production planning, manufacturing, quality, and manufacturing excellence.
• Intern successfully in assigned roles and contribute actively to team success.
• Shadow senior sourcing leaders in interactions with customers, suppliers, third parties, headquarters teams, and assigned departments.
• Understand assigned functions and responsibilities, provide concrete departmental support, report regularly to the mentor, and receive coaching.
• Take functional and project leadership under senior sourcing guidance.
• Develop new ideas and encourage change within teams.
• Ensure sourcing operations and practices comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards, and legal requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Technical skills in manufacturing, planning, project management, industrial engineering, materials engineering, biomechanics, or sport science preferred.
• Communication, presentation, note-taking, computer literacy, analytical, reporting, and data-collection skills.
• Open-mindedness and passion for sports.

Education and Experience

• Fresh graduate or candidate with less than two years of full-time work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Fluency in English and Chinese.
• Flexibility and willingness to relocate at the company’s request.
