Solution Architect

Tasks

The Sales Engagement and Solutions (SE) team drives digitalization for Mercedes-Benz products and sales. This role designs and optimizes enterprise systems, resolves technical issues, delivers architecture aligned with business goals, and drives AI adoption through practical use cases and tooling integration.

1. Solution Architect

• Collaborate with product owners on solution design, provide architecture principles, and offer technical support.
• Lead and review vendor solutions to ensure feasibility, maintainability, and scalability.
• Design and implement measures for functional and non-functional requirements, including stability, security, and performance optimization.
• Identify improvements in system workflows and propose initiatives for IT landscape simplification.
• Drive and implement AI tooling and practical use cases within the sales solutions scope.
• Execute initiatives with proper governance and guide product development through lifecycle positioning.

2. Operation Tasks

• Provide technical support for application operations and resolve incidents and complex technical issues.
• Monitor system performance and stability, proactively identifying risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Manage recurring problems through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth releases, operational standards, and continuous improvement.

3. Compliance

• Ensure adherence to IT control standards for assigned applications.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, security frameworks, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science.
• Excellent architecture knowledge and knowledge of the automotive industry.
• At least 8 years of experience in the IT industry or an IT-related field.
• Strong information collection and business analysis skills.
• Excellent technology and landscape view for enterprise-level critical applications.
• Excellent AI practice and insight, including hands-on experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in developing and designing product-to-platform architecture.
