About the job
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake architecture and administration concepts, dbt development and project structuring, advanced SQL development, query optimization and performance tuning, and data warehouse and dimensional modelling.
Your role
- Design, build, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakehouses using the Snowflake AI Data Cloud ecosystem.
- Develop ELT/ETL processes, write advanced SQL, utilize Python or Snowpark, and tune warehouse performance to support analytics.
- Design and build scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines using tools such as Snowpipe, dbt, Fivetran, or Airflow.
- Manage virtual warehouses, clustering keys, materialized views, streams, and tasks to optimize query performance and control credit costs.
- Implement dimensional modeling, star schemas, or Data Vault architectures.
- Partner with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to translate business needs into robust technical data models.
Your profile
- 3 to 7+ years in data engineering or data warehousing/data lakes, with at least 2–3 years focused heavily on Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL, Python, and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Snowflake competencies including Snowpark, stored procedures, Snowpipe, and dynamic tables.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
