Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Drive operational excellence across the distribution center (3PL warehouse) and transportation activities to ensure high product availability and service performance to partners across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Moldova. Enable business growth by optimizing inventory management, delivering confirmed On-Time In Full (OTIF), maximizing cost efficiency, minimizing write-offs and ensuring stock integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end warehouse and transportation operations within Kazakhstan and export markets.
- Drive inventory management practices to ensure stock accuracy and optimal stock levels across the network.
- Ensure achievement of confirmed OTIF targets by aligning execution with Sales, Customer Service and external partners.
- Manage logistics service providers to deliver strong service, cost control and operational reliability.
- Contribute to cost-efficiency and optimization initiatives within warehouse and transportation operations.
- Monitor and reduce write-offs, damages and inventory discrepancies through controls and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety policies and local regulations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Oversee storage, picking, packing and outbound processes.
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock taking and reconciliation processes.
- Coordinate transportation planning to optimize on-time delivery, routes and costs.
- Monitor and improve logistics KPIs, including confirmed OTIF, inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity and cost per unit or shipment.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and handling processes.
- Analyze write-offs and stock losses and define corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage reverse logistics processes, including returns, claims and damages.
- Support logistics tools, systems and process improvements.
- Implement continuous improvement and create or update standard operating procedures.
- Track, analyze and report performance against key KPIs.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational performance.
Key Relationships
EMC and local Supply Chain, Customer Service and Order Fulfillment, Finance and Controlling teams; external logistics service providers, distribution center operations teams, customs brokers and regulatory authorities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, transportation or logistics operations.
- Strong expertise in inventory management and stock control processes.
- Proven track record of delivering OTIF and cost-optimization or productivity improvements.
- Experience with WMS, TMS and ERP systems, including SAP or equivalent systems.
- Strong analytical skills and a KPI-driven mindset.
- Detail-oriented and structured, with a focus on accuracy and control.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- Fluent English, at least upper-intermediate level.
- Experience in retail, FMCG or distribution is a strong advantage.
