NIKE, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Geographies & Marketplace Experiences team in the India Technology Center. You will help build a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Store Operational Report platform supporting Nike stores worldwide.
Who You Will Work With
You will report to the Engineering Manager at Geographies & Marketplace Experiences – India Technology Center and work with a team of dedicated engineers to improve technical strategy and deliver shared solutions.
Who We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams and distributed or cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCE, or Azure.
- Full-stack development expertise across backend services and frontend web applications.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, UI/UX principles, and responsive interfaces.
- Experience with microservice architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful services using NodeJS, Express.js, and Java.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, observability, monitoring, and tracing tools.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, including DynamoDB, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Experience with test-driven development, CI/CD, automated integration testing, Jenkins, GitHub workflows, and engineering hygiene.
- Experience with Scrum and agile principles and globally distributed teams.
- Experience delivering Generative AI-based solutions or projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
What You Will Work On
- Develop and deliver backend cloud-native microservices.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable digital asset management systems and services.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code; conduct peer reviews and mentor engineers.
- Leverage GenAI capabilities, including RAG, prompt-driven workflows, MCP, and specification-driven architectures.
- Ensure performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Design, implement, deploy, monitor, and operate services at scale in a full DevOps model.
- Own build, test, release, and production support for team-owned capabilities.
- Implement observability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx, including monitoring and alerting.
