Platform Engineer - ServiceNow

Atos is looking for an experienced Platform Engineer - ServiceNow (Global Role) to join its global team and support the design, development, integration, security, and optimization of the ServiceNow AI Platform.
In this role, you will build scalable platform capabilities, intelligent workflows, enterprise integrations, and AI-powered automation solutions that strengthen the ServiceNow portfolio and support digital transformation initiatives.
What will you be responsible for
- Designing, building, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow platform capabilities across enterprise environments.
- Developing reusable platform services using App Engine, Flow Designer, Workflow Studio, scoped applications, business rules, Script Includes, and ServiceNow APIs.
- Designing and implementing integrations using Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, import sets, transform maps, and event-driven patterns.
- Supporting intelligent automation and AI capabilities, including Virtual Agent, Now Assist, AI Search, AI agents, and conversational workflows.
- Integrating ServiceNow workflows with enterprise systems, connected assets, IoT/OT environments, robotics, and other physical-AI platforms where required.
- Ensuring platform security through proper access controls, role design, authentication, encryption, credential management, and secure integration practices.
- Monitoring and improving platform performance, scalability, technical debt, and upgrade readiness.
- Supporting DevOps, release management, CI/CD, Automated Test Framework, testing, deployments, upgrades, and operational handover.
- Collaborating with architects, cybersecurity teams, data teams, AI specialists, developers, operations teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
- Providing technical guidance, contributing to reusable standards and accelerators, and supporting customer-facing activities such as workshops, demonstrations, estimates, and pre-sales discussions.
What do we require
- At least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience.
- Strong experience in ServiceNow platform engineering, enterprise integration, application development, or automation.
- Advanced knowledge of Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, Workflow Studio, Flow Designer, MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
- Strong ServiceNow development skills, including JavaScript, Glide APIs, scoped applications, data modelling, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Experience designing and delivering complex ServiceNow integrations in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow security, including roles, ACLs, OAuth, certificates, encryption, credential management, audit logging, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with ServiceNow AI or automation capabilities such as Virtual Agent, Now Assist, AI Search, AI agents, or conversational workflows.
- Ability to translate business and architectural requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and senior business stakeholders.
- Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
- Current ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification or equivalent application-engineering experience.
Nice to have
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
- Additional ServiceNow certifications or micro-certifications related to Integration Hub, Flow Designer, Automated Test Framework, Virtual Agent, Now Assist, Security, CMDB, or Performance Analytics.
- Experience with OT, IoT, robotics, autonomous systems, connected assets, or physical-AI environments.
- Experience with API gateways, enterprise service buses, event-streaming platforms, iPaaS, cloud integration services, or RPA.
- Consulting, technical leadership, and pre-sales experience.
- Experience working in large, regulated, multinational, government, financial services, healthcare, energy, utilities, telecommunications, or manufacturing environments.
