Join a team where your expertise drives meaningful impact and where your growth is part of our mission. You will own complex project schedules, act as a planning liaison for clients, design partners and contractors, and support informed decisions through schedule analysis, reporting and risk insights.

About the role

As a Project Planner, you will take ownership of developing, managing and optimising complex project schedules across the full project lifecycle. You will act as a key planning interface between the client, design partners, contractors and suppliers, ensuring plans are robust, integrated and aligned with client requirements.

You will use schedule analysis, reporting and risk insights to identify issues early, support informed decision-making and help keep programme delivery on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and optimise detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, integrating contractor and supplier schedules into a single master programme.
  • Oversee planning throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation and design through procurement, build and test, implementation or commissioning and handover.
  • Monitor progress, analyse schedule variances and critical paths, and develop timely recovery and mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the primary planning liaison for the client, leading programme plan reviews with client representatives, design partners and contractors and providing clear, data-driven insights.
  • Produce weekly and monthly planning reports covering progress and milestone performance, while maintaining baseline control, effective change management and visibility of schedule risks, constraints and interdependencies.

Skills we can’t do without

  • Strong experience in project planning, scheduling and project controls.
  • Expert-level capability in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical skills, including schedule variance, critical path, risk and dependency analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence reporting to senior client stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Skills we'd like

  • Experience integrating contractor and supplier schedules into complex master programmes.
  • Experience implementing robust planning standards and supporting schedule inputs into wider project risk management.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance. The role is UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required.

Benefits

  • 25 days paid leave plus national holidays
  • Pension scheme with contributions matched up to 10%
  • Private medical cover
  • Income protection
  • Life assurance
  • Flex Benefits Program

At Atos, diversity and inclusion are embedded in our DNA. The company welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and life experiences and provides reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process where required.
