Tasks

Key points and objectives of the position

QM China Hub is responsible for consolidating and enhancing central quality functions in China. Quality EE Satellite ensures PbP and CBU carline quality through E/E MBOS quality validation and release management, OTA management, COP testing, and reliability activities in China.

1. Management

Manage, motivate, and develop staff using HR tools based on the company mission statement and corporate values.
Provide purposeful internal communications to achieve agreed objectives.
Ensure employees receive training appropriate to their needs and assigned tasks.
Inform subordinate employees about relevant provisions and ensure proper implementation.

2. E/E Quality Management including Digital Services and Overall OTA functionality

Lead the overall E/E Q-Release process and execution in China for CBU and PbP carlines, including Body E/E, ADAS, Telematics, Digital Services, and OTA updates.
Conduct E/E Q-Release as a key milestone before SOP to ensure E/E functionality and customer satisfaction.
Lead the PLQ Technic EE role in China, focusing on China-specific feature design, Chinese customer user journeys, and early involvement in development testing.

3. COP emission and fuel consumption tests for CBU vehicles

Coordinate and support COP emission and fuel consumption tests for CBU vehicles in China to ensure compliance with Chinese regulations.

4. Reliability and car data analysis

Ensure implementation of the reliability process during critical China-specific component development phases.
Support R&D activities in China through reliability methodologies.
Lead car data analysis as part of Data Driven Quality, especially in the E/E area, to improve testing productivity while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

At least 8 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Strong engineering background; quality, R&D, project management, and aftersales experience is a plus.
At least 3 years in a leading position in an international company; Mercedes-Benz experience is preferred.

Specific knowledge

Proven team leader and effective team player.
Target- and result-oriented.
Familiarity with Mercedes-Benz development, quality management, and aftersales processes.
Broad quality knowledge in the automotive industry.
Network within R&D, QM, BBAC, and BMBS.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Fluent English; German is a plus.
