Who You Will Work With
You will be part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT), reporting to the team’s Engineering Director. You will work with engineers, the Product Manager, and Principal Engineers on software projects that achieve Nike’s business objectives, while engaging with other Global Technology functions and teams.
Who We Are Looking For
We seek an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing software engineering teams. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, a passion for developing people, and a proven record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 12 to 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years managing high-performing software engineering teams.
- Experience establishing engineering practices covering code quality, test automation, observability, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
- Experience leading full-stack DevOps teams across development, testing, and operations.
- Experience directly managing and developing engineering teams of 10 or more people.
- Hands-on experience with distributed and cloud-based environments, including AWS and Databricks, modern web technologies such as Java, REST, and Python, and NoSQL and relational databases.
- Experience with planning SaaS platforms such as o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, or SAP APO/SAP IBP is preferred.
- Experience in a supply chain domain and hands-on experience with S/4HANA or SAP AFS.
- Ability to apply generative AI, AI/ML, and agentic tools to solve business problems and drive measurable impact.
- Strong understanding of agile principles, Scrum, and product model delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams focused on SCPT platforms and solutions.
- Set technical direction and drive architectural decisions for large-scale, distributed, SaaS, and cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver business value and align on enterprise-wide technical strategies.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across global locations.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
- Drive modern engineering practices, automated testing, agile methodologies, and AI-first approaches.
- Contribute to strategic planning for future products, platform capabilities, and organizational growth.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and champion best practices in software engineering, security, and data management.
- Support initiatives to build and grow Nike Global Technology’s presence in India.
