Who You Will Work With
You will be part of the larger Global Technology organization, working on Nike’s internal Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT) and reporting to the team’s Engineering Director. You will work day-to-day with engineers, the team’s Product Manager, and Principal Engineers on software projects that achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.
Who We Are Looking For
We seek an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing software engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a passion for developing people, and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 12 to 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of management experience with high-performing software engineering teams.
- Strong focus on engineering hygiene, including code quality, test automation, observability, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
- Experience leading full-stack DevOps teams across development, testing, and operations.
- Experience directly managing and developing engineering teams of 10 or more people.
- Hands-on experience with distributed and cloud-based environments, including AWS and Databricks, and modern web technologies such as Java, REST, and Python.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases.
- Experience with supply chain domains such as demand planning, manufacturing, supply planning, inventory planning, deployment planning, or distribution requirements planning.
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA or SAP AFS.
- Ability to apply generative AI, AI/ML, and agentic tools to solve business problems and drive measurable impact.
- Strong understanding of agile principles, Scrum, and product model delivery within large portfolios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams focused on designing, building, and supporting SCPT platforms and solutions.
- Set technical direction and drive architectural decisions for large-scale, distributed, SaaS, and cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver business value and align on enterprise-wide technical strategies.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across global locations.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
- Drive modern engineering practices, automated testing, agile methodologies, and an AI-first approach.
- Contribute to strategic planning for future products, platform capabilities, and organizational growth.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and champion best practices in software engineering, security, and data management.
- Support local initiatives to build and grow Nike Global Technology’s presence in India.
