Senior IT Team Manager

Position

In a challenging and multicultural environment, Crédit Agricole CIB is looking for a senior Team Manager to join the Referential IT Section, responsible for KYC and Counterparties Referential applications. The team handles the development of transversal and international projects and supports compliance requirements including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD).

Main responsibilities

Provide team leadership

• Manage team recruitment, objectives, appraisals and performance reviews.
• Create an environment based on trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive teamwork.
• Motivate and inspire team members by setting a good example.
• Support team member development and resolve dysfunctional behavior.
• Build consensus and maintain healthy group dynamics.

Focus the team on customer requirements

• Build short-term to long-term roadmaps.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Initiate sub-groups or sub-teams to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel.

Coordinate team logistics

• Ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Keep the team focused and on track.
• Work with IT managers and department heads to obtain necessary resources.
• Establish meeting times, locations and agendas.

Communicate team status and direction

• Analyze team activity status against programme plans and schedules.
• Keep department and section heads informed of progress, issues and status.
• Act as a focal point for interface and integration issues with other teams and business partners.
• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the team.
• Provide guidance based on management direction.

Business and delivery management

• Agree plans for projects and services delivered by the team.
• Lead solution design, implementation and integration.
• Ensure projects and tasks meet quality standards, schedules and cost requirements.
• Manage budgets and capacity allocation according to priorities.
• Ensure solutions meet client needs.

Lean management practices

• Ensure effective performance dialogue and meeting cascades support improvement and escalation.
• Actively manage team capacity to meet priorities and sustain continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of software engineering experience as a developer, technical lead, business analyst or project manager.
• At least 3 years of IT project management experience.
• At least 3 years as an IT team head responsible for in-house application development.
• Comfort participating in technical discussions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of software development procedures and ability to follow defined procedures.
• Ability to interact effectively with technical teams.
• Understanding and respect for cultural diversity.
