Senior Engineer – Virtual Integration
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer for its Body & Comfort E/E domain in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
- Own, maintain and continuously improve the Virtual Integration platform used by internal engineering teams for build, integration, verification, and validation activities.
- Integrate tools, configurations, dependencies, and environment settings across the software toolchain.
- Support users and stakeholder teams by troubleshooting platform issues, analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and driving sustainable fixes.
- Collaborate with software developers, validation engineers, architects, IT and tool owners, and suppliers.
- Ensure confidentiality, compliance, and secure handling of internal data, tools, and engineering artifacts.
- Bring solutions from the Virtual Integration platform to improve application software development.
Qualifications
Necessary qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in AUTOSAR Classic ECU integration, including communication, diagnostics, memory, and security stacks.
- Strong understanding of AUTOSAR ARXML structure and content.
- Good understanding of build environment tools such as Ant, Gradle, and Maven.
- Proficiency in scripting or automation languages such as Groovy, Kotlin, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with build systems, dependency management, CI/CD pipelines, or automated validation frameworks in Jenkins and Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues using logs, configuration files, environment analysis, and structured debugging methods.
- Strong knowledge of Vector tools including DaVinci Configurator, DaVinci Team, DaVinci Developer, and Vector CANoe.
- Effective communication skills and an ownership mindset.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in automotive software, embedded systems, AUTOSAR Adaptive, ECU integration, virtual ECU, or system validation.
- Experience with testing tools such as Synopsys TPT.
- Experience in variant coding test strategies in Vector CANoe.
- Exposure to requirements management, test automation, traceability, dashboards, metrics, or quality reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud-based development environments, containers, artifact repositories, or DevOps infrastructure.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams.
