Role Overview

We are seeking an Algorithm Engineer with strong skills in perception-driven algorithm development to join the Algo Dev team. The role involves end-to-end design and implementation of perception algorithms contributing to the AI production stack for next-generation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benchmark state-of-the-art algorithms and devise novel, compute-efficient perception-based algorithms.
  • Design and implement robust computer vision algorithms for diverse scenarios, including changing exposure, variable lighting conditions, and human articulations.
  • Debug complex issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure the performance, robustness, and reliability of perception algorithms across the AI production stack.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable AI algorithms.
  • Document research work in compliance with AI process standards, including the EU AI Act and ASPICE ML Process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience developing computer vision algorithms for real production-grade scenarios.
  • Strong expertise in Python and libraries including OpenCV, SciPy, and PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art CNNs and machine learning/deep learning model training using large-scale real and artificial datasets.
  • Strong understanding of camera ISP pipelines, including exposure control, gain, white balance, image-quality parameters, and real-time environmental effects on algorithm performance.
  • Knowledge of machine learning processes for algorithm development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and delivering production-grade perception algorithms in the automotive domain.
  • Strong fundamentals in perception, computer vision, deep learning, VLMs, and generative AI.
  • Understanding of performance metrics, benchmarking, and error analysis for perception systems.
  • Experience optimizing models for runtime performance, latency, memory footprint, and edge or embedded deployment constraints.
  • Research publications in top-tier journals or conferences, such as CVPR or ICCV, and/or automotive patents.
  • Experience with diverse camera modalities, including RGB, NIR, FIR, and depth.
