Senior DevSecOps Developer Zero Trust

Mercedes-Benz Canada is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Developer to join its Global Cyber Security team and worldwide organization. The team delivers Identity and Access Management services that secure internal and cloud environments across Mercedes-Benz.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop services, solutions, enhancements, connectors, custom rules, workflows, automations, certifications, and third-party system integrations.
  • Collaborate with application and product teams to align product goals with delivered features and services.
  • Deliver user-focused experiences that adhere to accessibility standards.
  • Work with software engineering teams to solve complex problems through innovative approaches.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and bug-related engineering efforts.
  • Maintain live product availability and provide support.
  • Promote code standards for quality, privacy, accessibility, security, and documentation.
  • Assess Zero Trust technologies and define and implement the Zero Trust roadmap.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or 5+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of commercial software development experience with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, messaging frameworks, and SQL.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-tier applications, databases, application servers, network infrastructure, security, and data flows.
  • Strong knowledge of REST, JSON, and SCIM APIs for user collection, provisioning, and deprovisioning.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, including tagging and branching strategies.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions and security tools such as SonarQube and Coverity.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluent English required; German is an asset.
