Job Description
The Data Engineer (Fivetran HVR) is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise data integration and replication solutions using Fivetran HVR (High Volume Replication). This role enables reliable, secure, and near real-time movement of data across heterogeneous environments, supporting modern analytics, reporting, cloud migration, and data platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data integration and replication solutions using Fivetran HVR.
- Implement and support CDC-based data pipelines across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Optimize replication performance, latency, throughput, and data availability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures, replication issues, and data quality concerns.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Application Teams, DBAs, Cloud Engineers, and Business Analysts.
- Support cloud data platform initiatives, migrations, and modernization programs.
- Perform root cause analysis for data integration incidents and implement long-term corrective actions.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, ETL/ELT Development, or Data Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Fivetran HVR administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of CDC, replication concepts, and enterprise data integration patterns.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale relational databases.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation and data processing.
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments and critical business data pipelines.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of DataOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation practices.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional design.
- Familiarity with SAP source systems and enterprise application integrations.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
