Senior Cybersecurity Embedded Engineer

Your Role

As a Senior Functional Safety Engineer, you will lead the definition, implementation, and assessment of functional safety activities for automotive systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 throughout the product development lifecycle. Leveraging your expertise in safety engineering, system architecture, and safety analysis, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop safe, reliable, and innovative automotive solutions while supporting technical reviews, stakeholder alignment, and team mentoring.

Your Profile

• Good understanding of firmware and embedded systems architectures; firmware development experience is not required.
• Knowledge of embedded hardware, including ARM processors or equivalent, communication protocols such as PI, I2C, and parallel, and debug interfaces including JTAG and SWD.
• Familiarity with IoT devices, connected systems, and edge computing.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, and related protocols.
• Ability to identify potential security risks by thinking like an attacker.
• Experience identifying vulnerabilities and attack surfaces in embedded and IoT systems, including hardware and firmware.
• Understanding of common security threats in embedded environments, such as physical attacks, hardware manipulation, and bus sniffing.
• Knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies, including ISO 27005 principles.
• Familiarity with Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for industrial or IoT environments.
• Ability to perform and document security risk assessments.
• Nice to have: knowledge of ASPICE 4.0 and ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
