NIKE, Inc. is looking for a Senior Contract Specialist on the Office of General Counsel’s Global Contracting Services legal team, based at Nike PHK World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The role supports the Global and North America business, teams in other geographies and the evolution of Nike’s business model.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal, contract specialist or similar support role in a law firm, corporate law department or large company.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and managing a wide range of contract types under tight deadlines.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on and organize projects in new or unfamiliar areas.
- A bias for action and ability to work independently within a complex international organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate at all levels and to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel, experience with collaboration tools such as Smartsheet and Airtable, and the ability to navigate digital contract and vendor management tools.
- Strong team player with a strategic mindset and close attention to detail.
What You Will Work On
- Complete end-to-end contract management actions, from submission through storage, with a focus on efficiencies using digital workflows and innovative legal processes.
- Oversee or support contract negotiations involving business teammates, vendors and other third parties in accordance with Nike policies and best practices.
- Work within Nike’s enterprise contract management platform and other digital collaboration tools relating to contract lifecycle management.
- Partner with Nike attorneys, contract specialists, paralegals, business stakeholders and outside counsel on contracting and dealmaking matters.
- Project-manage support for various team initiatives.
- Assist with developing presentations and training materials on legal topics.
Who You Will Work With
You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Contracting Services, and collaborate with cross-functional Legal and business teammates and support functions including Procurement, Finance and Technology. Work may include matters for the Jordan Brand division and Converse affiliate.
