Senior Consultant for Topic NERD

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient microservices.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency APIs for mission-critical systems and high-availability web services.
• Develop public APIs for the automotive domain based on after-sales processes.
• Write unit tests using mocking frameworks for APIs and services.
• Design and build continuous integration and continuous delivery scripts using open-source platforms.
• Package applications using containers and deploy and host them in the cloud with container orchestration frameworks.
• Implement Java-based web services and APIs end to end.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including coding, testing, releases, debugging, research and architectural review.
• Understand client needs, prioritize tasks, resolve technical issues and deliver solutions with minimal assistance.

Technical skills

• Java/J2EE (Java 8 and above), Go and Python.
• Spring Boot, Gin, Mockito and JUnit.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Microservices architecture, service discovery and fault-tolerance mechanisms.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Terraform and Helm.
• OpenAPI Standard 3.x and API security with OAuth 1.0/2.0.
• Maven, Apache Tomcat/JBoss and Jenkins.
• Cloud deployment and hosting of web services on Kubernetes.

Good-to-have skills

• Application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Datadog.
• Groovy and shell scripting.
• ELK and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or engineering.
• In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle, application architecture and middleware concepts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convert business requirements into business documents.
• Automotive domain knowledge in after-sales processes is an added advantage.
