Senior Consultant- Solution Architect

Your role

As a digital solution architect, you will work in product design or development teams to architect solutions for clients. You will work on new or existing IT services that need innovative solutions and potentially radical transformation to provide the digital offerings expected by customers.

You will design end-to-end solutions, map the underlying capabilities needed to build them, ensure they meet architecture standards, patterns and blueprints, and provide technical support to scrum and product design teams.

AI-enabled architecture

• Identify opportunities to adopt AI into new or existing digital services, including LLM-based assistants, classification, prediction and automation.
• Lead AI solution design using patterns such as retrieval augmented generation, multi-agent orchestration, vector search, prompt chaining and model fine-tuning.
• Assess the technical feasibility of AI concepts through rapid prototyping, MVPs, cloud-native AI services and open-source models.
• Explain AI model limitations, risks and trade-offs, and design mitigation strategies such as grounding, evaluation frameworks, guardrails and system prompts.
• Support clients in understanding the business value of AI capabilities and the organisational, data and process changes required for successful adoption.

You will prove the value of new propositions and solutions through prototyping, technical feasibility assessments and pilots. You will work with cloud-based solutions to implement MVPs or spikes and collaborate with UX and service designers and developers on rapid iterative development.

Business and personal growth

• Business development: Lead or contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches and client events.
• Internal contribution: Support campaign development, think tanks, whitepapers, practice development and offering development.
• Learning and development: Complete training and certifications to support career development and company skills demand.

Your profile

• Experience delivering digital solutions on one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Comfort working in an agile environment while balancing time-to-value and iterative delivery with governance and control processes.
• Experience building and testing applications, using cloud-native services and working with UX/UI or front-end developers to build prototypes.
• Good understanding of cloud services and solution components, including PaaS, SaaS, serverless computing and microservice-based solutions.
• Experience with AI tools for architecture or architecture for AI.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, grounding explanations in business value and real-world risk.
• Understanding of cloud-native AI services such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock and Google Gemini, and their integration with enterprise services, security patterns and APIs.
• Ability to communicate at both business and technical levels and design cost-effective end-to-end solutions aligned with business KPIs and user satisfaction.
• Understanding of current and future technology trends.
• Experience delivering digital applications or services in DevOps and waterfall environments.
• Ability to develop digital architects through line management, mentoring, coaching and learning development.
