Tasks

Objective

  • As a core member of the project team, strategize and propose solutions to top management on critical issues impacting the Group’s long-term competitiveness and performance.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes for assigned work streams, including analysis, communication, and project management.
  • Collaborate closely with project team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop insights into major market and technology trends within China’s automotive sector, including e-mobility, digitalization, and software.
  • Establish trusted advisory relationships with key internal stakeholders and identify areas where MBMC China can provide support.
  • Engage in MBMC initiatives, supporting global integration and deepening understanding of the Chinese market.

Responsibility

  • Project Delivery: Execute assigned work streams and contribute to MBMC projects, typically focusing on one project at a time for durations of one to three months.
  • Work on projects involving R&D, marketing and sales, general management consulting, and digital/data analytics.
  • Engage with project teams and internal stakeholders and recommend areas for improvement and support.
  • Team Development: Help establish MBMC China, adapt global operating procedures to local requirements, and contribute to recruiting, training, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Knowledge Development: Build expertise in strategic areas such as e-mobility, digitalization/software, and ADAS/AI.
  • Curate external data sources, establish professional networks, consolidate findings, and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a leading institution, preferably in science or engineering.
  • An advanced or professional degree such as an MBA or PhD is a plus.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Analyst, Associate, or Consultant at a top-tier global management consultancy, or in a product or strategy role at a leading automotive company.
  • Experience with the EV value chain, including batteries and charging infrastructure, or expertise in digitalization, software, and AI is advantageous.
  • Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese are required; German proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience managing cross-functional, cross-divisional, and international projects is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, a track record as a motivated high achiever, and collaborative team-player capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, primarily to Germany.
