Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and enhance existing functionality in a Linux-based system environment.
  • Design and implement system-level software and tools in C++ on Linux platforms.
  • Work with daemons, inter-process communication (IPC), and system services.
  • Support and improve hardware–software interaction at the system level.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to memory, performance, and resource usage.
  • Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and hardware teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to system design discussions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with senior-level experience expected.
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, including processes, memory management, file systems, networking, and startup sequence.
  • Good knowledge of the Ubuntu ecosystem, including package management, repositories, and mirrors.
  • Solid programming skills in C++11/14/17 with a system-level focus.
  • Experience with POSIX APIs, multithreading, and IPC including pipes, shared memory, and sockets.
  • Scripting skills in Bash and Python.
  • Experience with containerization or virtualization tools such as Docker and QEMU.
  • Familiarity with CMake, Make, and Git.
  • Hands-on experience with gdb, strace, valgrind, and perf.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with gRPC.
  • Experience with low-level or system software development in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux or RTOS ecosystems.
