SAP BW4HANA Lead Developer for OHC

Responsibilities

• Further develop and expand the central BI system for overhead controlling and product overhead reporting in the Cost ART (Agile Release Train).
• Integrate data from ERP and non-ERP source systems into a cross-departmental BI solution for Mercedes-Benz Cars worldwide.
• Analyze and coordinate functional requirements with finance and controlling business owners, including assessing data sources and integrating them into existing data models.
• Develop systems using the SAFe Scaled Agile Framework with international business owners and project partners.
• Coordinate functional requirements with technical implementation and DevOps teams to ensure functional and data-technical integration.
• Implement and test reporting requirements using SAP BW, SAP Analysis for Office, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Create and control user stories with IT teams and external service providers.
• Analyze data availability and quality and ensure quality during data integration and general operation.
• Ensure compliance with and further develop data governance requirements, including corporate data catalog, data model, and BI system design documentation.
• Manage the IT DevOps team and external IT developers and service providers.
• Act as key account for end users with system and reporting problems, especially during monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, economics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience designing, building, and operating SAP BW solutions in the finance and controlling domain.
• Experience consulting and coordinating at the interface between finance and controlling departments and IT.
• Knowledge of operative cost and budget controlling, particularly operative plan and actual reporting processes.
• Ideally, knowledge of ETL processes, APIs, data modeling, and reporting solutions or dashboards.
• Openness to exploring analytics technologies outside the SAP stack, such as Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Azure DevOps is desirable.
• Experience with user training and training concepts in an international environment.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum and SAFe in international, agile project organizations.
• Proficient English, independent working style, motivation, initiative, analytical and conceptual skills, problem-solving ability, communication and teamwork skills, agile mindset, intercultural competence, and strong verbal and written communication.
