Retail Store Sales Associate - Scarborough SP, 2064, Toronto

Purpose

Assist customers in determining which products and services best fit their needs and promote merchandise sales by meeting or exceeding productivity standards. Maintain product awareness, inventory, customer service, and accurate sales transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting adidas merchandise and provide information about products, materials, technology, and functionality.
• Uphold adidas customer service standards by listening to customer needs and providing product information.
• Drive and close sales using adidas selling techniques and the in-store AOS system where available.
• Complete cash, credit, debit, and other customer sales transactions.
• Maintain store appearance, process and replenish merchandise, and assist with customer service inquiries.
• Support a respectful team environment and follow adidas brand values, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with telephone duties and inventory control.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information to customers and employees.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use a point-of-sale system and cash register.
• Good judgment, decision-making, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 12 kg frequently and up to 34 kg occasionally.
• Proficiency in English and French, both verbal and written.

Qualifications

Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED. Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
