Retail Store Associate - adidas Outlet Store McArthurGlen (#2023)

Purpose

Assist customers in determining which products and services best fit their needs and promote merchandise by meeting or exceeding productivity standards. Maintain product awareness, inventory, customer service, and accurate sales transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting adidas merchandise and provide information about products, materials, technology, and functionality.
• Uphold adidas customer service standards and provide product information as needed.
• Drive and close sales using adidas selling techniques and the in-store AOS system where available.
• Complete cash, credit, debit, and other customer sales transactions.
• Maintain store appearance, process and replenish merchandise, and assist with customer service inquiries.
• Support a respectful team environment, assist with telephone duties, and follow inventory-control policies and procedures.
• Work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
• Perform duties involving standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 12 kg frequently and 34 kg occasionally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Use point-of-sale systems and demonstrate a basic understanding of cash register functions and procedures.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, decision-making, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Be proficient in English and French, verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.

Maintain a safe and orderly workplace, report accidents and hazards, use required protective equipment, follow occupational health and safety legislation and company policies, and handle hazardous materials, equipment, and processes according to established procedures.
