Retail Sales Associate - Worldwear Shopping Centre

Purpose and overall relevance for the organization

Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
• Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, and other payment methods as needed.
• Assist with product ticketing and check paperwork against items received.
• Assist with product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis.
• Secure company assets and stock to help prevent shrinkage.
• Assist in developing merchandise displays and follow suggestions or schedules from the store management team.
• Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain integrity through attention to policy and procedure.
• Use selling techniques such as add-on sales and technical product information to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right product.
• Serve as a greeter at the front door during busy workdays when needed.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards and safeguard company assets.

Education and experience

• Matric certificate
• 2–4 years of retail experience
