Repair Team Member (Conversion Only)

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring a Repair Team Member (Conversion Only) at its Tuscaloosa County, Alabama manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, paint, monitor quality, or perform production support for vehicle production.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and electrical-mechanical interface issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical issues on current-model Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
• Work on and around high-voltage battery systems.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repair processes while maintaining Mercedes-Benz quality standards.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts using standard methods and procedures.
• Complete repair activities from diagnosis through quality confirmation and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
• Transport necessary materials and parts to designated areas of the assembly line.
• Follow safety guidelines, participate in safety training, and report unsafe acts, conditions, and injuries.
• Work rotational shifts and overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or a related electronics degree, plus two years of experience as a repair technician in a certified automotive repair center; or six years of experience as a certified repair technician with additional electrical technical experience if no degree is held.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Preferred: technical school training in manufacturing processes and equipment, or a German Meister title or equivalent.
